With just two weeks until MIPIM 2020, Team Leicester has revealed its celebrity speaker, GB Paralympic Long Jumper, Stef Reid, at a sponsors meeting in Leicester’s prestigious new Novotel hotel on Tuesday {25 February].
Stef will be heading to global property exhibition, MIPIM (Le Marché International des Professionnels de l'Immobilier) as the headline speaker at Team Leicester’s sponsors’ gala dinner on Wednesday 11 March.
Five times world record holder, Stef, who was appointed Vice President of UK Athletics in November holds a degree in Biochemistry from Queen’s University in Canada and resides near Loughborough, where she trains. She will be championing Team Leicester’s MIPIM campaign theme ‘Leicester the Healthy Choice’ in Cannes, demonstrating how the Leicestershire area is a healthy place to live, work and invest.
Team Leicester is a partnership of property and construction companies headlined by developers, Bradgate Estates, who have joined together to collectively showcase property, business and development opportunities across Leicestershire, at MIPIM next month.
The businesses met earlier today to finalise preparations and network, in advance of the trip to Cannes.
Team Leicester is led by Rob McGuinn, director of MDA Consulting, Richard Osborn, regional director at Excello Law, Mukesh Patel, managing partner at Freeths and Mark Oakley, Director of Inward Investment and Place Marketing at Leicester City Council, with the events and programme being managed by Associate Events.
Rob McGuinn is Chair of Team Leicester. He said, “I am very excited for MIPIM this year. We have a first-rate programme in place with two spectacular events that will create the perfect setting for our partners to network, make new contacts and talk business.

MIPIM is an annual, global property event that sees real estate professionals from all over the world gather for four days of networking, events, conferences and exhibitions.
