Following its introduction to MIPIM in June, Team Leicester’s 2020 campaign theme, ‘Leicester – the Healthy Choice’ has now been revealed at the Leicester Business Festival.
After many successful years of driving investment into Leicestershire and capitalising on its thriving economy, Team Leicester will again, be heading to MIPIM 2020. The Team Leicester partnership is compiled of local, high-profile, private sector property and professional services businesses. All of which will be representing Leicester as the ‘Healthy Choice’, at the world’s largest property showcase, in Cannes.
This year’s theme is a perfect reflection of Leicestershire’s regional standing. The theme ‘Healthy Choice’, will resonate with investors, families and current occupants, it also demonstrates the hopes and expectations for the future. MIPM gives Leicester the opportunity to showcase the incomparable diverse cultural, outstanding lifestyle, excellent transport links; both rail and air, and importantly, how it is a sound and healthy place in which to invest.
Not only is Team Leicester’s theme synced with the local economy, it is also partnered with MIPIM’s overall theme – ‘The Future is Human’. Health is wealth and has been the focus of the general population for many weeks. The theme falls nicely with the most recent news that Leicester Hospitals NHS Trust will receive £450 million to fund a new maternity hospital and a new treatment centre.
Leicester will also have a presence in the Midlands Engine stand at MIPIM, to ensure collaboration remains an important factor when conducting future business across the region. Leicester boasts the largest economy in the East Midlands. Commercially, its property industry is thriving beyond all expectations. Investment remains strong right across the area with total transactions in 2018 up by 61 per cent on the previous year.
The area boasts fantastic retail, tourism and quality of life that makes it an extremely attractive place. With the rise of people flocking to Leicester to both live and work New, speculative developments are starting to address the need for good quality, city-centre office accommodation.
