Edmond de Rothschild Real Estate Investment Management (REIM) has acquired Merlin Wharf, one of the latest developments on Leicester's Waterside complex.

The company's UK residential investment fund had already put up the money for the development on behalf of its European institutional investors, which the investment management arm is now buying.

Team Leicester partner, Code Students' founder, Jamie Lewis, was the fund’s development partner through his Leicester Lettings business. The contractor was Winvic Construction and the apartments were designed by Leicester-based architect, Staniforth.

The news comes days after Deutsche Finance International (DFI) announced it had exchanged contacts with developer, Watkin Jones on the new Tannery student scheme on the opposite side of the road!
