
Team Leicester is pleased to announce its next Property and Construction Luncheon, in association with Met Events is to be held on March 5th at the City Rooms, 16 Hotel St, Leicester LE1 5A. This event will bring together key players in the property and construction industry to hear from senior local authority figures about the exciting regeneration projects happening across Leicestershire.
This luncheon provides a valuable opportunity for industry professionals to network and gain insights into the strategic plans shaping the future of the region. Attendees will hear from two prominent local authority leaders:
Julia Smith, Chief Executive of Blaby District Council: Julia will share Blaby's ambitious vision for inclusive growth over the next fifteen years and beyond, as outlined in their new Corporate Plan, Economic Development Framework, and Commercial Strategy. She will highlight successes such as Everards Meadows and discuss the importance of strategic partnerships in delivering much-needed housing and commercial growth, securing high-quality jobs for Blaby residents. With a local plan in production, Blaby District has the potential for significant housing and economic development across strategic locations.
Bill Cullen, Chief Executive of Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council: Bill will discuss the proactive work taking place on inward investment in Hinckley and Bosworth, a borough that prides itself as ‘A Place of Opportunity’. Home to over 4,500 businesses, including the Global HQ of Triumph Motors and the European Hub for DPD, Hinckley & Bosworth works closely with the renowned MIRA Technology Park. Bill will also highlight the groundbreaking work of the local Employment & Skills Partnership, which comprises businesses, schools, colleges, and agencies working together to drive skills and employment initiatives.
